U23's West Ham 3 - 0 Liverpool
Our U23's beat Liverpool's 3-0 this afternoon apparantly
17yr old Sonny Perkins with 2 and Nevers with the other.

Hope the senior's can achieve the same result.

No report or Blog on the OS.
Strange, thought they had stopped this backward reporting.

Still a great result.
Will see if I can get the line up.

It's OK he'll come on Sunday and score the winner.

Perkins not scoring against a youth team. Pretty poor.

Confidence is high in the u23's if we need to play some in the near future.

Another win tonight, 1-0 vs Blackburn.

Ashby sent off but we held on.

2nd placed Arsenal lost so we are 2 points clear of them.

Yeah does seem strange. I think it's all about timing and the right club. Coventry should never have gone to Peterborough for one,a team more dynamic than that as he was playing really well all last season and in pre-season. QPR would of been good for him.
Hopefully he'll come back and help the squad out. but needs to be playing at Peterborough for the remainder.

Alese had a good spell last season,Longelo will probably go on loan in Jan. Ashby too but that depends on the fitness of Fredericks.

Just watched the highlights tbh a bit scrapy for 2 of the goals.
Alese does the simple things well good sensible distribution, calm.
Potts is similar in his midfield role. Okolfex is quick and has good feet, good interchange play down the left.
Sonny Perkins could be one who makes his debut soon. Tall, quick,in the right place, a bit selfish, can shoot and is clever with his positional play. He's more intelligent that Mipo and I don't think he would be phased from playing in the 1st team, reminds me of Cottee for his positional play.I'd put him on the bench even today but definetly in the EL. I'm not saying he's there yet but "nothing ventured nothing gained"
Chesters didn't do a lot but only played 45 minutes but have seen enough of him to think he could be an option.
Ashby was quiet.

Liverpool's defence was very poor, hopefully that will be the same today.

Odd how they dominate at this level, but barely play on loan in League 1 or League 2.

You’d assume Ashby, Alese, Longelo, Alves, Baptiste, Chesters, Coventry and others would be killing it on loan. Yet they all can’t get a club or don’t play.

It's a pity our u-23 matches aren't more accessible

I've been following them as much as I can from clips on YouTube this season and can't help but be really impressed

We have 3 or 4 youngsters who look extremely promising and not to far away from stepping up to the next level

For those who haven't seen them, there are clips from some of their matches on YouTube

They were streaming the u23s at the start of the season, I watched a couple of games, couldn't find this anywhere though.
